I backed my $250 FG Ferrari body with Pactra Indy silver. The body doesn't come with overspray film so I tried to be careful but some still got on it. Now it WON'T come off. I'm so pissed!!! I've tried rubbing alcohol and regular paint thinner and it almost impossible to remove it. At this rate, it will take weeks. The can says to remove overspray, rub with 1:1 mixture of RC Thinner and rubbing alcohol. Is RC Thinner different than regular paint thinner? Please help me get the overspray off!

With an expensive body such as that, you should have masked the entire body with high quality masking tape, sure it would take a while but the goal is no overspray. It's nearly impossible to avoid overspray, thats why most bodies come with it, and take note at how much overspray gets caught when you peel off the film!
DO NOT use regular paint thinner, it will fog up the lexan. I don't know what "RC" Thinner is but have you tried a little WD40? PC paint eats into lexan. Best of luck to you using WD40!

No luck with the WD-40. I guess I'll pick up some Pactra R/C Thinner tomorrow and try that. This really sucks!

With such an expensive body the only sure way I know to remove overspray safely is to use Bolink Body Wash. This stuff will take off anything and won't hurt the lexan at all. You should be able to get it from your local hoby shop.

Thanks Yendor. That body wash is miracle stuff! It took a little elbow grease but I got it all off. I'm sure the people at Pactra will breathe a sigh of relief :).
