how to post pics?

I have several pics I would like to post but the files are too large. I am looking for advice on how to maintain detail but reduce the size of the file. The pics were taken with a 5 megapixil camera if this helps any. Any step by step advice would be greatly appreciated.

Problem solved. Just upload them to a web-site like Imagestation.com . Its free. They click the IMG button in the toolbar when posting and pase in the complete URL of the picture by right-clicking on it and getting the address. I hope you understood that, if not just ask and I will give you detailed instructions.:)

Hey Lanny...

Any Photo Program should be able to change file and picture sizes....like PHOTOSHOP, PICTURE IT, etc...

Yeh, what I do is change the resolution by a couple notches, helps a lot. I went from 38 to 20 and I couldn't tell the difference, except that the newer one was a fraction of the size. Just don't try pictures from 'Paint', they are huge.
